The Complete Reprint of Physique Pictorial: 1951-1990 Book

It's a very interesting study of society's attitude toward the male physique and toward displaying it artistically in print. A great variety is displayed, with finally artistic nudity displayed in 1969. I suppose that because it is a reprint, some of the text is very small, and can be a challenge to read. There is some interesting reading to be found. It was long after I bought the books, and even after the passing of the author of the introduction to the series that I realized that I was once a special friend of that author of the introduction. It gives me a special connection to this interesting work, besides the fact that I just have a general interest in history, and how the way we look at things have changed over time. I love our largely accepting new world, and what the technology can bring us, but to truly appreciate it we need works like this one to give us a healthy look at where we came from.
