Born in New York City, Ricky Lauren is a therapist as well as an accomplished author, photographer, and painter. Mrs. Lauren’s first book, Safari, a photographic essay of her travels across the African continent, was published in 1989. Mrs. Lauren’s experiences in Jamaica served as inspiration for her second book, My Island (1995). She has also published two books for her family: The Children’s Book and Rudi & Grete. Ricky and Ralph Lauren have three children, Andrew, David, and Dylan. They reside in New York, Jamaica, and Colorado.
