Fortress America: The American Military and the Consequences of Peace Book

I agree with some of Mr. Greider's arguments. Though I do not agree with the U.S. becoming a stooge in the UN and allowing another to run our military or our government. Though he did not say our government it is widely known that the U.N laws would have to circumvent our own Constitution. Governments and their militaries for that matter were never meant to be run by anyone but the government of the country they represent. I do agree that our own government needs to scale down defense spending. Government nor the military spend the money wisely and it needs to be revamped as many things at certain points need to be. It was an interesting book and I enjoyed reading it.
