It really is interesting to get the back-scenes insight into the twisted world of "news". He really puts it all in perspective for you - the world of "spin" and how you really can't trust what you see on the news channels because they're just trying to get ratings just like any other fiction show out there.
But then, what is Garrison's side? I felt like I couldn't trust him either because he's part of the big news machine. And through it all, he doesn't see anything wrong with the despicable news agencies who only choose half of the story to tell or omit very important bits of information.
I'm disgusted with the media, but it's not the books fault.
