Book of Martial Power: The Universal Guide to the Combative Arts Book

This is by far one of the best books I have ever read on martial arts, and one of the great things about it is that it's not specific to any style or school of thought. Pearlman's analysis is very logical and the most scientific study I've yet encountered. Clearly a lot of thought and experience went in to writing this book. The presentation makes it easy to follow and complex concept are so well articulated that they would even be accessible to people with no prior martial arts knowledge or experience. It's great to see a western perspective on martial arts respecting both eastern and western approach to combat, and articulating it in a easily accessible framework. Put simply, if you want to understand the principles that apply to martial arts regardless of style or are looking for further refinement, it would be most unfortunate to overlook this great masterpiece.
