The Gem Hunter's Kit: Discover the Earth's Mineral Treasures Book

I've been reading this book for weeks. It is a "personal introduction" to 35 important writers. There is colored pencil portrait of each woman, as well as a brief bio and description of her writings. Then there is a page or two of her writings.

Interesting to see names I haven't seen since I was in school, and to read of some who were popular when they started writing and others who were not popular until a new generation read their works. I am starting to read Agatha Christie and Edith Wharton.
