Earthly Delights: Tubs of Tomatoes and Buckets of Beans Book

I loved this collection. It offers several examples of projects that link social justice or creative radical politics to gardening and farming. There was also some fleshed-out theory that was way more satisfying than the vague idea I often come across that gardening will somehow lead to social transformation and empowerment. Some sections felt unfinished or left me wanting deeper investigation, but I guess that's up to the rest of us to do and write about ourselves. The how-to section seemed like an afterthought but held a few gems for me - I think I recall a pretty good Hugelkultur diagram alongside arid-climate gardening tips and a really pretty drawing of an example plant-guild in a keyhole bed. Look for it!
