Marguerite Yourcenar reuniu neste livro um apanhado dos seus desabafos deixados à toa em folhas soltas, num perÃodo em que passava por um desgosto amoroso. Todos juntos não são mais que algumas páginas.
O resto são relatos de amores históricos, sobretudo da mitologia grega. Aconselho uma pesquisa prévia sobre estas personagens; o tema é vasto e complexo. Eu, pelo menos, rapidamente esqueço os parentesco confusos, os nomes estranhos e às vezes tão semelhantes que me baralham.
De qualquer maneira, as histórias mitológicas são sempre fascinantes e a autora recriou-as com muita sensibilidade e um toque muito feminino.
Mas a minha favorita foi sobre a mÃtica Maria Madalena; a história bÃblica tantas vezes ouvida e recontada, ganha uma visão intimista e completamente nova da eterna pecadora.
Uma delÃcia de escrita, de sensibilidade, de espÃrito criativo.
