The Unseen Book

Julie Grant is planning on killing herself and is looking for a chance of redemption before committing this act. She tells the story of her life as a way of immortalizing herself. She explains how her life began to spiral out of control following her 26th birthday, when she was brutally raped. This event forces her to deal with her feelings in relation to sexual abuse she experienced as a child at the hands of her mother's partner.The story is told in the first person which allows Julie to explain in her own words the impact and terror these events had on her life. Recounting these events has an unexpected effect on her. She begins to remember the time prior to her illness and regains some normality and hope. Julie decides not to take her life and hopes for a better future.
