Dragon Ball: Chapter Book, Volume 4
Misaki and her widowed father move to the town of Hohoro. Misaki soon becomes friends with Sanae and on the way home from school one day they come across a creature in the lake rather like the Loch Ness Monster. This is the Hohopo, but when he kisses the girls on the lips he turns into a naked little boy they name Neo.
Also going on - Misaki's father may be getting interested in a woman who was friends with Misaki's deceased mother, and Misaki is not happy about it.
And if that's not enough, there is also a kidnapped heiress with a secret, gold at the bottom of the lake, and a crashed Cessna.
There is some nudity and a couple of things I found questionable, but overall I found the story engaging.
