Under Our Sky Book

UNDER OUR SKY is book full of songs dedicated to soul searching for love. This collection of poems/lyrics was composed and refined over a twelve year period. Author Jeff McGivern (Jeffspace) invites the reader along in experiencing this "ultimate love quest" where his words are transformed into vivid, almost touchable emotion.

"I want past love experiences to flood the reader's mind," says McGivern, "and allow the refrains to trigger personal memories. I want the reader to find this work to be deeply personal and be able to relate to the love experiences that are common, familiar and recognizable by all.'

UNDER OUR SKY seeks to eliminate, even if temporarily, the existence of the mundane cares and nuisances of everyday routine. Bringing the individual a "personal mantra" to be used when one wants to meditate on the concept of Love.

Through the description of naturally occuring stimuli, starlight, music and the sun, McGivern explores Love as a universal human concept that crosses all racial, ethnic, cultural and language barriers. "I created my own space in writing this book. 12 years of care, experience and personal energies went into its writing. By accessing the endless reservoir of human love I have learned and want my readers to learn, to enjoy life to its fullest. Love is the elixir of a happy and productive life."

Jeff McGivern was born in Los Angeles California and attended schools in Southern California and Maryland. He attended the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan. McGivern now resides in the greater Los Angeles area. While contiuing to write, he also finds time to play keyboards and record original music. Jeff McGivern also devotes much of histime to several charitable causes.

About the Author

Native Montrealer Jay Singh is the author of two novellas, The Laughing Walland and The Immortal Taj. He publishes non-fiction in magazines and journals throughout South Korea and is an editor for the Seoul Classified. Singh teaches kindergarten in Seoul.
