Katie was waiting for company. . . .our guys were not because of the pandemic, BUT, they are familiar with Katie's wait, so this book was welcomed as our waiting for TDay dinner to cook zoom read. Katie and her family and friends were confronted with the truth that it is best to be nimble when it comes to plans - flexibility is almost always required as the most perfect plan can be squashed by unexpected situations. How to greet those changes and adjustments? Don't call them disappointments or that all is ruined! It isn't! Katie shows how to be nimble and quickly jump on the new opportunities.
The illustrations added to the author's sturdy, be ready for anything message, and my group loved Katie - this was our first time with her. I see there are more Katie books out there, and so will further explore.
