Mary and Jody in the Movies (Lucky Foot Stable Series) Book

Even as a 12-year-old, I was surprised by this book when I read it years ago. It was pretty violent from what I remember and this bothered me as a kid. There was also a reference to a cat peeing, and another cat peeking to watch. Haha, that always stuck with me and I was grossed out by it when I was younger. :) I really enjoyed the writing style-- I could hardly put it down. I wish I would have read this as a 14-year-old instead, though. At 12, I saw a book with kitties on the front and, though I liked the fact that the book was dark, it was a little rough for me. Maybe I'll give it another go someday. :)
