Then we carried him behind a large boulder some distance from the ledge and tucked him away in a dark corner.

You know a book is bad when the audio book keeps you awake merely so you can make scathing, sarcastic comments about the story, the writing, and the narration. On the other hand, I didn't drive off of the road in the middle of nowhere Idaho, so I suppose it did its task.
