Henry Fielding A Memoir
I've always been a Bronte fan but apart from the normal stuff you read all the while, I knew nothing about her life. I only really read this one as I have been working my way through Gaskells works.
I did enjoy it for the insight into her life, which seems to me to have been that of a perpetual student. The reason for this being that the family talked always of starting their own school but it never came to anything.
Gaskell knew CB and her family and as CB's father was still alive it was censored rather. But I still enjoyed it.
