About the Authors:

A freelance writer specializing in travel, wildlife conservation, and science, Barbara Sleeper is the author of five other books, and has published more than 300 articles in such publications as Animals, Pacific Discovery, Audubon, EcoTraveler, Life, and many more. She has lived in Seattle since childhood.

For nearly thirty years, Seattle-based photographer Mike Sedam has specialized in travel photography around the world. His work has been widely published in the travel industry and in numerous publications. He has published two other books and is working on three more.
