It Happens in the Month of May
Again I love this series and how it can be adapted to many age groups. With toddlers and babies I read the straight up text and with preschoolers I add in the nonfiction blurps. This book is simple and clear in it's color objective. I have the kids act out or sound like some of the pictures which gets them more involved.
