Eminent Monk Book

Excellent summaries of some of the key philosophers, thinkers, and movers from India, Arabia, China, Korean, and Japan. The summaries and commentary are concise, clear, and explain some of the life history and key ideas for each of the philosophers. The authors have a background in Western philosophy, which is helpful for those interested in comparing methods or ideas (bearing in mind Eastern Philosophy can't easily be translated into Western logical terms). I really enjoyed journeying through such an array of thought and ideas covering fifty different philosophers. Lots of useful starting points for further research. Overall, an excellent addition to one's Eastern philosophy/religion library.
