Just Don't Marry One: Interracial Dating, Marriage, and Parenting Book

I am so impressed with this book. I didn't expect it to be the way it is. Reading on racial issues is one of my pastimes and it only seemed right to pick this up. Amalgamation, miscegenation and all that comes with it is of great interest to me.

This book covers biblical grounds for interracial marriages, their social implications/problems/solutions and transracial adoption. But the part that I particularly enjoyed and has stuck with me was the chapter by Ken Ham. I've had a growing scepticism of the idea of 'race' but didn't know where to start researching. But, lo and behold, thanks to Dr Ham's explanation, I find that it has no biological reality whatsoever. I wonder why this is not common knowledge? Hitler, himself, knew race doesn't exist but consciously used it as a rhetorical ploy to gain influence. Hitler. Funny how that works, huh?

I really enjoyed this book. It is my inspiration for a potential spoken word piece I'm contemplating. It's beautiful to know humans are one "race" but come in different shades of melanin. Beautiful.
