This two-volume set comes in a cardboard slipcase, and takes its name from Dorothea Mackellar's poem, "My Country," which commemorates the centenary of her birth. Volume I contains 626 pages, and covers Australian short stories, poetry and paintings to 1930. Volume II contains 670 pages, covering short stories, poetry and paintings through to 1980. Included in this set are 76 full-color plates, dozens of black-and-white illustrations, and numerous indices. Each hardcover book is covered in dark blue boards with gilt lettering and trim. A beautiful set.

I absolutly hated this book, i had to read it for VCE english and i disliked every minute i spent with these characters. turning each page was a challenge becuase of how much i despised these people and the situations they are in. Terribly disapointing.
