A Dollar for Penny by Julie Glass is a great book to introduce to young students about the concept of counting money. It shows students how to count to a dollar using the different coins such as pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. This book is also great because it shows students how to be responsible when spending money and how to earn their own money and become responsible. I would use this book with students in 1st-2nd grade.
