Boundary value problems, oscillation theory, and the cauchy functions for dynamic equations on a measure chain Book

I thought this book was great becuase it has a good ending , the author decribes the characters very well.
In this book Jillan moves from her old state to the big apple city " Newyork". They move in with Jillans mom boyfriend ,which has a 13 year old daughter named Marillea. The promblem is Marrliea doesn't like Jillan until she actully gets to know her , and learn more about her. It turns out they had a lot in commom. Both of there parents ( one dad one mom ) died. At the end they became very good step-sisters.
In the story the authoer decribs Jillan , as a shy , creative , and ordiranry 11 year od girl. But he does a good job of decribing , physichley also. He also does well on Marrlia. He describs her as , snobby , mean , and who looks like they don't like anybody. But then at the end , he switches her personitaly to a more nice , sweet and understanding teenager. Who is nice to Jillan.
This is why I thought The Secret Apartment was a really good book.
