Mathematical methods in physics and engineering
Perhaps this is a good reference book, but for learning the material for the first time, I found it subpar.
P.S. Why does this site think that "subpar" is a misspelling? The online dictionaries are pretty sure it's all one word "subpar" rather than "sub-par". I expect better of a site that claims be all up in literariness.
