Elements of Chemistry Book

Antione Lavoisier was a genius. The way by which he thought about the world and the nomenclature associated with Chemistry was brilliant. His process of thought is organized and revolves around experiments that comprise simple elements: oxygen, azote, hydrogen, caloric, light, etc. I only wish I had been forced to read this book in high school in AP Chemistry. If that had occurred, maybe then I would have begun to analyze my world and the way in which I thought about it. I readily accepted the periodic table as true without learning how it came to be. If my knowledge about the periodic table vanished tomorrow, I would now be able to begin to experiment to put it back together, more than any other aspect of this book that is what I am thankful for and why I highly encourage reading it.
