Spotted this at the library and loved the cover. The cover was the best part, though. I did appreciate that the book is divided into chapters focusing on a single color, but the cover works so well because it is different colors visible at once, interacting with each other. I suppose my dream house would have each room a different bright color, so you can see another color through any doorway. The text of this book tended toward the hokey, peppering the photos with unnecessary phrases like "the giddy extravagance of youth" and "nights in white satin." Still, nice eye candy.
Also, as I've been paging through more decorating books, I've realized that interior design books can succeed or fail based not on the featured design itself, but the quality of lighting in the photographs.
