Asian Faces: The Essential Beauty and Makeup Guide for Asian Women
This is definitely an empowering book for Asian women which teaches you how to play up your natural and beautiful Asian features, rather than forcing beauty techniques intended for Caucasian faces that ultimately do not work. I'd grown up looking through beauty magazines like Seventeen, trying out their beauty tips to find that they weren't quite right for my facial structure, but here comes a book that sheds light on how I can better accentuate my features based on familiar examples. There are a variety of examples provided by this book for different kinds of faces characteristic of Asians. Some of the models that the author uses to showcase her techniques include comedian Margaret Cho and Yunjin Kim (from the TV series LOST).
The book includes helpful advice on color choices for cheeks, eyes, face, as well as a section on skincare. I'm no makeup whiz, but I feel that this book definitely provides some great tips on makeup application for the Asian woman.
