Children's Literature

KC and her friend Marshall are excited about the Halloween party that is scheduled at the White House. KC's mom is married to the president and she is his step-daughter. The White House has to be secured at all times so KC has had to prepare a guest list. Each guest has to go through security to gain entrance to the party. The party is a lot of fun, but KC and Marshall soon learn that someone who attended the party did not come to enjoy the games and company, but to make the president look bad right before the big election. Will the president lose his opportunity to win his second election because of KC's party? Well, KC and Marshall set out to find out what really happened and who did it. They think it had to be an inside job because how could anyone get past the security check points without being searched and photographed? Readers will love this book as it is a mystery, and is about Halloween and a presidential election all in one. Reviewer: Laura J. Brown
