Attuale seppur edito in origine più di una decade fa, è un solido compendio che rapporta l'evoluzione della società occidentale a quella islamica, dalle loro origini sino ai giorni nostri. Sono evidenziate le differenze principali su temi quali diritto, cittadinanza e sistemi di valori, analizzando poi le immancabili e dolorose collisioni (l'undici settembre è di sicuro la più ricordata) e infine proponendo alcune soluzioni radicali e che, seppur non "politicamente corrette", sono tutt'altro che populiste o fondate su stereotipi, specie quelle che riguardano identità e globalizzazione.
