A Family Venture: Men and Women on the Southern Frontier
Very interesting to read the diverse accounts of women who came to Oklahoma in the late 1880's. Love that their words, expressions, and grammar tell part of their stories as well. Hard to complain about 112-degree heat these summer days when I consider all the modern conveniences we have now that those women couldn't have imagined. They were *tough* and resilient women!!
