Ideas for music Book

Springboards ‘Ideas for Music’ is based on the belief that music is an essential part of the primary education of every child. It is therefore a curriculum guide for the classroom teacher who may or may not have a knowledge of music. Its emphasis is on enjoyment! Nevertheless, the progression is a logical one through the five main elements of the structure of music — rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and style and expression—providing a wealth of ideas for activities as reinforcement. As well as the actual teaching material, there is a comprehensive song section which presents songs from a variety of cultures graded into appropriate level’s, and supporting games to stimulate active participation and link into other subjects in the school curriculum.
