Never mind! Book

I chose 'Never Mind' book for my book summary. It was written by Avi Rachel Vail. The genre of this book is realistic fiction and it has many funny parts. It took place at their school as well as their home. The story happened when the beginning of the school year at middle school.
Edward and Meg are the protagonists in this book. They are twins and borned in the same day. However, they both have different personalities. Edward is a naughty boy and Stu is the only one friend in his class. He ignored all of his classmates as well as his school lesson. Moreover, his friendship with others is terriful. Edward is twelve years old but he is shorter than his twin sister, Meg. He loves skateboarding and most of the time he stays at his backyard. Meg is not a great student but she is good at sport and she likes the soccer the most. She usually plays soccer with her classmates at the school soccer field. She has many friends and loved to be in a crowd. Since Edward and Meg do not go to the same school, she checks all of her school lessons with her classmates.
Kimberly and Stu are the minor characters in this book. Kimberly is a friend of Meg and the leader of High Achiever Club which Meg wanted to be in. She is rich and loves to have parties at her house. Stu is a friend of Edward and he has a stepfather who is a math teacher at high school. Stu is very good at playing bass guitar.
The story starts at their home, Meg tells her parents that she wants to be in High Achiever Club. Her parents allow but Edward refuses it because he think that he will be in Low Achiever Club. He wants to make a Club which is bigger than Meg Club. Therefor he asks Stu for help but he refuses it because he thinks it is not fair for Meg.
Kimberly loves Edward when he phones him about the band.Edward brags her about his skills in the band. So Kimberly invites Edward and Meg to her party. She thinks Edward will be smart and a great student.Kimberly let Meg to be in her Club because of Edward. At the party, Meg tries to ignore Edward as a brother and introduces him as a friend.
The problem starts when their mother comes to the party to pick them up.When the band starts Edward makes funny actions because he can't sing as well as play guitar.However Kimberly did not notice Edward as Meg 's brother. On the way home, Meg explains her mother about Ted as Edward and they solve the problem.
As a conclusion, Kimberly figures out Edward as Meg's brother and still let Meg in her club.
There is not much interesting parts as well as exciting parts. It base on how middle school students react each other. The theme that I learn is do not lie and tell the truth about who you are to you friends as well as parents.
