Astronomy Book

Designed for students and all general readers interested in astronomy, this introduction to the subject provides detailed descriptions of the sky and the cosmos, cosmology, radiation, the sun and planets, and the origin and history of our solar system. Although this book begins with stellar astronomy, and treats the solar system only after having dealt with galactic astronomy and cosmology, its use need not be confined solely to courses organized in the same way. It should be possible to employ this book in a course that begins, in the more traditional and historical way, with the solar system.
